Skin: Pseudomonas aeruginosa vasculitis

Pseudomonas aeruginosa vasculitis This is a high power view of the deep dermal vessels of a section of skin which shows Pseudomonas aeruginosa vasculitis. The vessel lumina are obstructed by red thrombus which causes the ischaemic damage to skin. The blue rims are bacteria. H&E stain. The patient was HIV-positive.
