Set up to formulate the Society's policy on certain aspects of the Children and Young Persons Acts and the Children Act 1948 and prepare a memorandum of evidence for the Ingleby Committee. The Committee focused particularly on prevention of neglect and cruelty in the home and the question of extending powers and duties of local authorities under the Children Act.
