Biographical note
The FPA ran a psychosexual training course for doctors. It lasted 3 years, involved attendance at an ordinary seminar for two years divided into six terms following which the doctor may do a further year at advanced level. The doctor was then interviewed by a panel of experienced doctors who assessed the trainee's fitness to conduct special marital problem sessions in the clinic.
