About this work

Description

This film explains the physiology of vision particularly relating to the perception of colour. This is achieved using graphic illustrations. Then, it is noted that visual pigments can be obtained from the retinae of frogs and river fish. The retinae themselves are snipped to size from the dissected eyes and dropped in a solution. These sequences are filmed in infra-red light.
