Notes

Paul Willgoss describes his plinth spot as an opportunity to stand near the 'greatest disabled hero'. Born with a heart condition, Paul had surgery when he was three and as a result was not allowed to participate in sports. Paul aims to raise awareness for people with congenital heart conditions by walking for an hour on the plinth as part of a 1000km challenge for the Children's Heart Federation. He talks of the varied ways that heart conditions can affect people and mentions a friend that had heart transplant surgery eight days earlier.
