About this work

Description

Andy Paterson wears white fox fur and a fluffy 'Marcel' waved wig. The quality of this drag, and the very professional make-up would indicate that Andy is not an amateur; quite possibly a member of the 'Splinters' troupe, one of the concert parties formed in France by British servicemen in World War I, led by Reg Stone (see Wellcome Library no. 2044972i),

Publication/Creation

Leeds (Woodsley Road] : Tratties Repro, 1921.
