The central line represents renmai (the Director Vessel, also translated as Conception Vessel); the lines to either side represent the kidney channel of foot shaoyin, the stomach channel of foot yangming, the liver channel of foot jueyin, the spleen channel of foot taiyin and the gall bladder channel of foot shaoyang.
