Description

Notebook containing notes and observations on natural history, meteorology, astronomy, local customs etc., made in India and on various ships between England and the Far East.

Included are water colours and sketches of birds, snakes and other creatures; hats worn by the Parsee community in Bombay; a musical transcription of a song heard from the dock workers at an Indian port; and the fin of a flying fish, pasted to the page.
