Patient Complaints - Patients Association Complaints Analysis Project

Correspondence and papers relating to the Patients Association's patient Complaints Analysis project. This involved creating a punch card index of letters received over the year by the Association and having the data analysed for eventual contribution to sociological studies.

Includes guidance notes for the punch card indexing system, correspondence and papers re methods of having the data analysed (initially a researcher was employed on a trial basis, the costs proved prohibitive and the work was subsequently contracted out to the Consumer Association's computerisation section), correspondence re confidentiality of patient data during the analysis, some summary data, and draft article 'Gynaecologists in the eyes of the patient' by T. Zinkin which was based on her analysis of a proportion of the complaints data.
