Description

Number 13 in a series of 50 chromolitho cards issued by Thomas Holloway advertising Holloway's Pills and Holloway's Ointment. Each card consisted of about 3 images showing typified aspects of life and sports in a certain country. This one shows 3 children dressed up as the wise men bowing down before the infant Jesus Christ, lying on a pillow under a large yellow star as part of their Christmas celebrations. A child on a sledge and a steaming samovar of tea are below that and a sleigh drawn by two black horses by a man with a long white beard is at the bottom of the card.
