Notes

Shuier Zhang is originally from China but now lives in St Albans where she works. She talks about arriving in Edinburgh with her things and nowhere to live. Has studied English since she was very small, and used to really enjoy translation work, bridging two cultures at the same time. Works for a furniture import company in UK and really hopes to work in the arts one day. On the plinth she will do four simple paintings with Chinese calligraphy at the top.
