Also purchased from Mrs. Watson, Burnley, March 1945 (acc.72200), presumably once part of the Thomas Madden Stone autograph collection; and Winifred A. Myers, London, October 1992 (acc.349021). Accession details are not known for acc.92291 and acc.60590.

Sir William Edmond Logan (1798-1875). Canadian geologist and fellow of the Royal Society.

Cosmo Gordon Logie (1822-1886). Military surgeon and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Sir Thomas Longmore (1816-1895). Professor of military surgery.

Edward F Lonsdale (d.1857). Surgeon to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Bloomsbury Square, and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.

William Lonsdale (1794-1871). Geologist; curator and librarian of the Geological Society, 1829-1842.

John Claudius Loudon (1783-1843). Landscape gardener and horticultural writer. Fellow of the Linnean Society.
