With one third of all men and one quarter of all women in Britain suffering from heart disease, this programme considers whether GPs should make cholesterol testing a routine matter for every patient. The test and subsequent blood analysis are shown and the difference between LDL and HDL types of cholesterol are explained and demonstrated with graphics.
