Description

Report from the Select Committee in Lunacy Law, together with the Proceedings of the Committee, Minutes of Evidence and appendix. The Select Committee was appointed to look into the operations on the Lunacy Law, as regards safeguarding against violations of personal liberty. Crichton Royal Institution's Physician Superintendent, Dr James Gilchrist, was examined as a Witness as part of these proceedings in April 1877.
