About this work

Description

This programme provides an intimate portrait of t.v. presenter Gail Porter who has lost all her hair due to alopecia. She describes how her hair came out very suddenly at a time of high stress and how it's affected her since, including her relationships with family and work colleagues. She visits a specialist clinic for an alternative laser treatment and speaks to an NHS specialist in the area. One of the most moving moments in the programme is when she meets another alopecia sufferer, Michelle, and they try on wigs together.
