Description

The subjects are pictured at a meeting in Liège to organise the fourth International Congress of Physiology, held in Cambridge, August 1898. Sir Charles Sherrington was Holt Professor of Physiology at University College, Liverpool from 1895. Leon Fredericq was a Belgian physiologist.
