About this work

Description

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Rock Hudson and Doris Day in a publicity shot for one of the romantic comedies they made together in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1959 film 'Pillow talk', the Hudson character feigns being gay to get the interest of the Day character, possibly creating a Hollywood film plot precedent of a gay man playing a straight man playing a gay man".

Publication/Creation
