Folder 1: Correspondence of the Institute of Cancer Research, Royal Cancer Hospital, mostly concerning organisational change, including memoranda on the present and future organisation of the Chester Beatty Research Institute, the future organisation of Physical and Radiological research at the Royal Cancer Hospital, and the division of the Physics Department, following Mayneord's retirement. Also includes a paper concerning research at the Royal Cancer Hospital; a report from the radiotherapy department for the year 1972; The Hospital Physicists' Association Bulletin, Vol 6:1, March 1959; a speech by Professor Lamerton on the naming of the Haddow Laboratories, April 1980; minutes of a meeting of a Chairman's Committee meeting, Dec 1959; pamphlet on the opening of the new library of the ICR at Sutton, 1969; and correspondence regarding Mayneord's terms of appointment.

Folder 2: Correspondence regarding the future of the Physics Department and restructuring of the ICR following Mayneord's retirement, including meeting papers. Also includes a document on the development of the Institute of Cancer Research, particularly in relation to the Surrey branch. Folder also contains advertisements for the appointment of a senior physicist.
