About this work
Crick attended a Scientific Meeting of the Physiological Society and the Association des Physiologistes at the University Laboratory of Physiology, Oxford, 21-23 July 1983. A letter from Colin Blakemore to Crick, 29 June 1983, refers to a suggestion by Crick for a 2-topic seminar, presumably covering the topics outlined in file PP/CRI/K/2/10 i.e. the function of REM sleep, and cell types in the neocortex. For drafts of Crick's 1983 paper 'Cell Types in the Neocortex: The Tiling Hypothesis' see file PP/CRI/L/1/1/3.
