About this work

Description

In the foreword to No 1 of this series HSW wrote, 'From the foundation of the WHMM in 1913, it has been my intention to publish from time to time accounts of the research work carried out on the objects, manuscripts and other documents of special interest and importance in the museum. Owing to the Great War this work was interrupted and has had to be suspended'. The volumes contain appendices outlining recent acquisitions to the WHMM. The series was published by John Bale, Sons & Danielsson, Ltd and Bailliere, Tindall and Cox. Sub-class A contains the published volumes, and the pamphlet advertising 'The History and Lore of Cymric Medicine' which was never published. Sub-class B contains files of correspondence, drafts and illustrations for the publications, including proofs of 'Cymric Medicine.' Further correspondence relating to Comrie's and Spielmann's work can be found in the main correspondence series [WA/HMM/CO/Chr and Alp]
