Biographical note
On the fly-leaf 'J. Wickham. C.C.C. Oxon'. He was Rector of Horsington, and is recorded in Gunther's 'Early Science at Oxford', Vol. IX, p. 370, as having attended James Bradley's lectures on experimental philosophy at the Ashmolean in 1747.
