"Part 2: The Rise and Fall of Alternative Medicine" Why are people dissatisfied with conventional medicine? Is the extra patient-time and personal support the strongest appeal of alternative therapies? Dr. Buckman visits a Southampton doctor who combines alternative medicine with orthodox methods, sees how a homeopathy practitioner helps a sufferer from rheumatoid arthritis, and how HIV positive patients respond to spiritual healing.
