Notes

Mark Gill comes from Monkstown in Northern Ireland. He is a missionary and engineer. Has lived in Nepal since 1983 and raised his family there. Speaks about his decisions to move there and the poverty he has experienced. Moved back to Northern Ireland last year for a year because wife's mum is ill, but plans to return to Nepal later this year. Talks about his decision to become a missionary and the faith he has in God. His wife is a midwife and has set up a number of health clinics in Nepal, and both of them have made a significant different in providing work and improving the quality of life for people there. On the plinth he is going to represent daily life in Nepal by miming/performing the routine of daily life in poverty.
