About this work
Description
Description of herbs, plants and other substances used in medicine, arranged according to qualities: in English. (Incomplete.) The sections on mineral and animal substances and the Indices are missing. This MS. is possibly an earlier text of MS. No. 340. The water-mark on the paper is similar, but has not been identified in Briquet. The last leaf contains a few medical receipts in English by an Elizabethan hand.

1 volume 36 ll. folio. 31 x 211/2 cm. Upper cover in vellum of the original binding only. The MS. has been re-foliated in pencil. By comparison with the complete text in MS. No. 340, the following leaves are wanting: After fol. 8, probably 9 ll.: after fol. 14, probably 3 ll.: after fol. 24, probably 1 leaf: after fol. 29, 1 leaf: and all after fol. 36. Leaves 18, 29, 33 are damaged or mutilated, corners frayed.
