In stopping teeth I use collodium, or a compound of collodium, and press it into the decayed part of the tooth while in a hot state. The stopping may be made the same colour as the tooth. 5 When it is desired to make artificial gums from dental rubber, I enclose the models with the dental rubber in a metallic vessel filled with water, and having a cover which is securely fastened; the whole is subjected to a temperature of about 315“ Fahrenheit. To the cover is attached a stop-cock and thermometer for indicating the temperature. The heat maybe applied 10 by any ordinary means.
