Biographical note
Appears to be material collected by, or sent directly to Susan. The majority of the material relates to Susan's membership of the Beaumont Society, a transgender support group that was established in 1966 as the British chapter of the secret American organisation "Full Personality Expression". It's purpose was to provide information, support and friendship to cross-dressing men, though it in subsequent years it has expanded its membership to all sections of the transgender community.
Related material
There are a set of files on the Beaumont Society in PP/KIN: Dr Dave King: transgender research materials.
The British Library and the Bishopsgate Institute both contain Beaumont Society material.
