About this work

Description

These two photographs show the exteriors of the old Medical Superintendent’s house, at the north east corner of the Retreat building, before and after demolition. The site was subsequently used for the building of the new Recreation Room, opened in 1909, while the Medical Superintendent moved into the new Medical Superintendent’s house, Lamel Beeches.
