12 April, 1901. Signed Agreement Copy Agreement between William Cooper & Nephews and Arthur John Chaplin, re-appointing him as Managing Clerk.

14 November, 1904. Signed Agreement between William Cooper & Nephews and Arthur John Chaplin, appointing him as Manager of business in South Africa.

20 October, 1908. Ms Opinion of Van Zyl & Buissinne (Attorneys, Cape Town) on grounds for terminating Chaplin's contract, particularly the contract wording "during his good behaviour".
