Notes

Demetrius Christopholus lives in Manchester. Fascinating insight into 60s bands and the culture of the time. Supported The Beetles, The Stones, The animals during the 60s. He also created a band called Wimple Winch in 1966 that released only 3 singles but these have been influential to many modern bands. It has been termed 'Freakbeat' and was very much different to the style of the songs at the time. Also did some gigs for American troops in Germany before Vietnam. Then he went into theatre. On the plinth he will be talking about Freakbeat.
