An exchange of memoranda between Wellcome Foundation Ltd and CM&R Ltd, arising from the Annual Return: "I find the reason CM&R hold no shares in Thomas Swan in its own name is that many years ago we claimed marine commission through Thomas Swan and it was necessary at that time to avoid Thomas Swan being identified as a CM&R subsidiary."
