Notes

Samantha Lydiate comes from Abbeywood, South London. She is currently working on the 2012 Olympics, a job she got through the job Centre. They are aiming to make the Olympics environmentally friendly. All the animals that currently live on the grounds they aim to keep there. She has had 3 people close to her heart that have been affected and therefore she now raises funds for Cancer Research UK as well. Has a passion for singing which she has been doing since she was a teenager as well as DJ-ing. She has a band called DIVA, which is very performance based, a little like the musical Chicago or Cabaret, they interact with the audience. On the plinth she will be singing and will be taking a big yellow plastic duck. Has had various jobs in the past including working for the BBC for 10 years, and then became an ambulance driver. Worked briefly in property during the recession.
