About this work

Description

In the second in a three-part series, Winifred Robinson investigates the work of The Health Protection Agency. In this part we follow HPA worker Philip Monk as he works on the case of a young schoolgirl admitted to Leicestershire Royal Infirmary with a drug resistant strain of tuberculosis. From this initial case we also follow Monk's work within the local community and assess how effective the HPA's working practice is when dealing with drug-related diseases passed among heroin users.
