Notes

Anna Vickery comes from Chester. Studied English and Philosophy at university and then spent a year working at a place called The Mortgage Company. She then became pregnant and now has an eight month old son and so she has been looking after him since he was born. Intends to become a child-minder for the next couple of years and eventually train to become a teacher. She is also setting up a campaign called "Power to the People" with which she speaks of issues close to her heart and aims to encourage the public to take interest in politics and current issues. This is what she will be talking about on the plinth and some of her themes include the war in Afghanistan and Gordon Brown being a prime minister who was wasn't elected. Her brother is in the army and is going to Afghanistan and so this has a particular significance for her.
