About this work

Description

Old germs are back. Most people regard TB as a thing of the past. The programme looks at the current situation, with diseases such as cholera, malaria, plague, hepatitis, diphtheria all developing resistance to drugs. Travel, poor public sanitation, and lack of money for immunisation programmes, and lack of research interest in infectious diseases are leading to a serious threat with a resurgance of old diseases.
