Notes

Brett Jones lives in both Billericay and France. Brett started his career in the catering and hospitality industry and became interested in wine. He opened a wine bar in the 1970's which he has now sold but continues to write about wine, give tasteings and runs a members club from which he earns a living by selling wine to people, also he helps his partner with her wine travel website. He enjoys travelling to wine regions for work and pleasure. He will be doing a wine tasting session on the plinth and also raising awareness for the charity “Prostate UK” because he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2005. He will be tasting 5 wines and discussing the statistics of prostate cancer in the countries where the wines come from because he wishes to raise awareness of prostate cancer and different wines. He is a huge fan of the arts including Antony Gormley work, photography and Jazz. He is charmed by the idea of the fourth plinth not having a permanent statue because it sparks discussion.
