Notes

Jeremy Paterson comes from Newcastle upon Tyne. He is a lecturer in classics especially Roman history. He is also chair of a small project promoting Latin back into primary schools. He talks about a publication which has helped greatly with this project " Minimus Pupil's Book: Starting out in Latin" which was written by Barbara Belle a good friend. It has been very successful and just sold 100,000 copies and would be good to mark this today. On the plinth he will be dressing up in a toga and will be reciting Latin poetry.
