About this work
This film demonstrates a patient being fitted with contact lenses at Moorfields Eye Hospital. There is footage of a female patient in a consultation room with her records being updated and then undergoing eye test. A row of patients are fitted with lenses (they are facing the windows to ensure good visibility for the clinicians. How lenses are made from moulds from the eye is shown in progress. They are subsequently fitted to patients. Time passing is helpfully indicated by means of Big Ben at the beginning and wall clocks thereafter.
