Photograph album containing photographs of Denis Burkitt

Black and white and colour photographs of Denis Burkitt pasted onto paper pages. Most of them are captioned with the place or occasion and the date.

Includes formal and informal portraits, Burkitt in a professional capacity receiving honours and awards, visiting overseas organisations, attending farewell occasions and medical meetings, giving lectures, 'at work' at his desk at the MRC or looking at a map of Africa. There are also some leisure-time photographs of Denis Burkitt and his wife Olive (and a picture of Olive Burkitt (nee Seaford) in 1943). The images mainly cover 1960 to 1991.

At the back are two groups of unmounted photographs in envelopes, one group illustrating a visit to Canada in 1991.

Formerly in a ringbinder folder, the contents have been removed and the folder discarded. The pages are in the order originally found in the ringbinder.
