Help me help my child. Part 2.

The second in a two-part series in which the Maudsley Hospital allow their pioneering psycotherapeutic work with children to be filmed. This part features two teenagers suffering from anorexia. 15-year-old Katy is dangerously unwell with anorexia and is continuing to lose weight. The therapists and her family embark on a programme of eating based around her mother controlling everything she eats. 15-year-old Tron is a male anorexic who has been afraid of choking on food since he was 8. In both cases we follow the therapy sessions at the clinic and see how they affect life at home. This unsensational look at psychiatric problems in children provides a rare and informative insight into the darker sides of a child's mentality.
