Description

The true culture of plants, wherein is made known the true condition, nature, and secret properties of some choice trees, shrubs, hearbes and flowers, found out by many years experience and tryalls; as also in what manner they are sown, planted, preserved, and must be ordered throughout the whole year in thes Northern Parts. This MS. is a translation of part of the author's 'Waare oeffening der planten', first published at Amsterdam in 1672. Pp. 108-129 contain extracts from Richard Ligon's 'True and exact history of the Island of Barbadoes' London. 1657. relating to various indigenous plants, etc.
