Notes

Sally Butcher lives in Shoeburyness in Essex but originally from Southend. She runs a Persian-style corner shop called Persepolis in Peckham with her husband. In the shop she hosts story telling nights and comedy nights and is involved with the Isle of Peckham festival and Peckham Literary festive. Will be taking a large number of different hats up on the plinth to demonstrate the variety of different shopkeepers in this country. She has written a book about Iranian culture in Peckham, recipes, etc. Now working on second and third books.
