Notes

Daniel Baker is from Bristol and studying at Cardiff University where he is part of the drama society. On the plinth he is going to release balloons that he has asked his friends to sponsor to raise money for Bristol Children's Charity. He chose this charity after thinking about death and deciding he wanted to help children live longer lives. He wants to travel around the world more and visit less touristy countries to better understand everything around him. He has changed his course 3 times at university because he says he is non-committal. He talks about the things that he enjoys such as sport, music, drama, surfing, reading and spending time with his family. He says that he doesn't want to go on to the plinth to show off, but to try and do something different and creative. He is worried about someone thowing something at him and expects that his time wont be anything special but it will be fun, he is hoping it might inspire somebody to try something different or to donate money.
