More specifically, he addresses the role of public health in the fight against poverty and exclusion. He worries about the absence of a health promotion culture. On whether public health should have a social agenda. Jean-Pierre Deschamps clearly believes in action, while recognizing the ethical constraints related to the threat of social control.
