Transcript of Evidence given in the Case of The Queen v. Mrs. Nicholls, at the Central Criminal Court, 30th April, 1898. From the Notes of Messrs. Barnett & Buckles' Shorthand Writers to the Court. Written by several hands. An official transcript, with Home Office stamp dated 15/7/1898. Dr. Rolleston was present as a Medical expert in this case, which concerned the death from starvation and ill-treatment of Emily Jane Popejoy, a young servant girl. Mrs. Nicholls, her employer, was later sentenced to seven years penal servitude. Produced in London.
