'The Induction of Hypnosis', presented at the Third International Congress of the International Association for Cybernetics, Namur, Belgium, 15 Sep 1961, being a study of the words and actions of hypnotists and how a machine might imitate them (i.e. the mechanisation of the Induction of Hypnosis).

'The Simulation of the Human Hypnotist By a Teaching Machine', by Dr J H Clark, Hypnosis Research Unit, Department of Psychology, University of Manchester, 13, a paper to be published in the Proceedings of the IFIP '68 Congress to be held in Edinburgh from 5th to 10 August 1968. This paper describes an automatic hypnotising machine for possible use in dental surgery, psychiatry, midwifery, and experimental psychology.
