The papers gathered here relate to her care and to the administration of her affairs by the Committee appointed to do so on her being declared mentally incapable, the leading röle being taken by her brother Captain Charles Chamberlayne Irvine R.N.

Biographical note
Annabella Irvine, described as being "of advanced years" and suffering from senile dementia, was an inmate in the asylum run at Brislington, near Bristol, by Drs. Francis Ker Fox (M.B. Cantab., 1844) and Charles Fox (M.D. Cantab., 1844).
