Photograph of an oil painting of Robert Liston (1794-1847), Scottish surgeon. The painting was acquired at auction from Bonhams on 23rd April 1915, Lot 660, and accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 8th January 1930 (CC 5116).
