Black and white photograph of Liane de Pougy, a French dancer and courtesan, showing head and shoulders in profile. During her lifetime she had relationships with both men and women, including fellow courtesan Émilienne d'Alençon and the writer Natalie Clifford Barney, the latter of which was the inspiration for Pougy's novel Idylle Saphique (A Woman's Affair).
