Southend General Hospital. View showing the open-air solaria at the end of the ward blocks. Messrs. Adams, Holden and Pearson, FF.R.I.B.A., architects. The surrounds to the solaria openings are in red brickwork as also is the plinth, whilst for the rest of the walls a yellow brick with a tinge of violet has been used.
