The Voices Project was a joint project of NCT, The Institute of Nursing Studies, and the University of Hull School of Health, and funded by the Department of Health and the Changing Childbirth Implementation Team. The project aimed to increase awareness and effectiveness of user representatives by providing training, information and resources to user representatives. The project was coordinated by Elisabeth Buggins and Gillian Fletcher, both NCT antenatal tutors and chairs of their local Maternity Services Liaison Committee.
